In this course we study important mechanisms behind foreign-language learning and how these apply when it comes to learning Dutch. We use contemporary theories and methods from foreign-language learning research and apply these to concrete data in Dutch. During the course students practice in presenting and discussing their findings in an academic way both in spoken and written Dutch. The course also introduces students into ethical aspects of research. This course is taught online and welcomes students from all around the world!

The course is useful for all professions and jobs where advanced knowledge of the Dutch language, Dutch-language literature and the culture of the Dutch-speaking countries, as well as advanced skills in scientific text production are required or a competitive advantage.
