Mathematics I

Mathematics I comprises 30 credits and is usually the first course our students take in mathematics at university level. The course is only given in Swedish, and you can find more information on the Swedish version of this page.

The course treats basic algebra, function theory, linear algebra in two and three dimensions (matrices, determinants, vectors, linear dependance), analysis of functions of one variable (limits, continuity, derivative and integral with applications) and analysis of functions of several variables (partial derivatives, double integrals). The contents of the course may be used in modelling in a number of fields as for example physics and economy.

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.

Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
