Supplementary course in Computer and Systems Sciences - distance

This nine-week intensive course, structured into five modules, provides a foundational overview of computer and systems sciences.

It's crucial to note that the curriculum does not aim to impart deep, structured knowledge. Instead, the course focuses on familiarizing students with essential concepts, terminology and introductory theories, offering a broad, albeit superficial, introduction to the field.

The course gives knowledge in for example databases, programming, HCI (human-computer interaction) and computer networks. By completing the course, you can continue your study at master level at the department.

The course covers the areas:

  • systems theory,
  • computer systems and networks,
  • information systems,
  • system development methods,
  • human-computer interaction,
  • databases,
  • programming language and
  • IT and society.

Teaching Format

The teaching activities consist of lectures and seminars.
