Gender and far right nationalism

The course offers an introduction to current research on how far-right nationalist parties and movements relate to gender and sexuality, and what role ideas of gender play in the ideology and practice of far right nationalism.

Central questions and concepts in research, such as gender voting gap, anti-gender politics, nationalist masculinity, and homonationalism, are introduced, with current as well as historical examples. The teaching language is English.

The course consists of one module, Gender and far right nationalism (3 credits).

Teaching Format

This is an online distance course. The teaching consists of pre-recorded lectures and independent studies, with study questions as a guidance.

Examiner
