Fashion and Materiality
Fashion objects are often examined by cultural historians, fashion theorists, economic historians and curators. This course explores the ways in which fashion items can be studied, and how they reflect the socio-cultural context in which they were created and worn. Through seminars, lectures and workshops the students will learn how to approach materiality and re-establish its significance from various perspectives.
Half pace advanced level course during 2nd period.
Teaching Format
Teaching consists of lectures, seminars and workshops. All teaching will be conducted in English, and is compulsory.
Assessment
