If you have been accepted to the course, then you will receive more information concerning registration in August. The course starts week 36.
Course Aim
The course aim is for you to improve your language proficiency and to widen your knowledge of the Latvian language. In addition, you will gain a grammatical overview of the language from a general linguistic perspective, as well as an overview of classical Latvian literature.
The course consists of four modules.
Modules
The course consists of the following modules:
- Latvian morphology and syntax I, 7.5 HEC
- Written proficiency 7.5 HEC 3
- Classical Latvian literature, part 1, 7.5 HEC
- Text analysis 7.5 HEC
Teaching Format
Instruction is in the form of lectures and seminars.
Examiner
The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course.
We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course,
your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
